What is "catered living"?

Catered living is all about convenience and providing a variety of service options so that a person can spend the time doing what he or she enjoys doing most and less time on things he or she doesn't enjoy doing as much, such as home maintenance. It also means having access to healthcare and personal assistance if you need it. In short, catered living is about living life on your terms.


How much does it cost if I want to live at The Harbor at Peace Village?

The standard membership package costs are a studio from $2080 to $2185 and one bedroom at $2730. We also have a number of ala carte services available beyond our standard membership package.


What is included in my monthly membership?

If you are not seeking health care and personal assistance services, the following is included in your monthly membership fee:

  • One meal daily
  • Light weekly housekeeping
  • All utilities, including basic cable television, with the exception of telephone
  • 24 hour on site staff
  • Enriching social, spiritual and leisure programming
  • General maintenance
  • "While You're Away Services", e.g., watering plants, mail pick up, etc.
  • Emergency call system
  • Laundry services twice weekly

If you seek health care and personal assistance, we provide all services above, plus:

  • Two meals daily
  • RN assessment and health monitoring
  • Medication management and administration
  • Shower assistance weekly
  • Transportation coordination

In addition we provide a wide variety of ala carte services and features for all community members at The Harbor at Peace Village.

Absolutely.

How do I become a member of The Harbor at Peace Village community?

The application process is very easy. We have a simple application form and request a move in fee of $300 to hold your reservation. If you decide not to move to The Harbor at Peace Village, you will receive a full refund. We look forward to having you as a community member at The Harbor at Peace Village. Who operates The Harbor at Peace Village?

The Harbor at Peace Village is managed by Ecumen. Ecumen, which is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and is based in Shoreview. Ecumen is Minnesota's largest non-profit provider of housing and services for people "living fully after 50." Ecumen's name comes from the Greek word for home: oikos.
